Boeing Fire Department Custom Bandanas

Hey guys – this is Chris writing again about another one of my favorite clients and their custom bandana design!

I worked with John on getting some awesome Boeing Fire Department CST-100 Extrication Team custom bandanas done so their crew has some protection against the elements of the desert in New Mexico. Boeing is currently preparing their CST-100 Starliner to be a next-generation space capsule built to take people and cargo to and from low-Earth orbit. Upon its return, the Boeing Fire Department CST-100 Extrication Team will assist in the support of landings of the CST-100 Starliner by approaching the module, getting measurements for ground-cooling, and removing the astronauts. Once the spacecraft gets into routine missions, it will deliver astronauts to the space station every six months!

The Boeing Fire Department CST-1000 Extrication Team will be using their awesome custom bandanas to keep themselves protected in the high heat of the desert, and they are great for filtering the dust and sand they will encounter. Hoorags are also great for moisture-wicking, which comes in handy for high-pressure situations and for keeping cool.

If you’re ever in need of some custom bandanas feel free to hit me up and I’ll make sure you’re taken care of. I can be reached at Chris@hoorag.com or give a call at 888.831.9344 extension 109.

Custom Bandanas and Travel

Kody here again and it’s time to look at another one of our amazing clients.  We work with a lot of companies in the travel industry. That’s primarily because our custom bandanas and travel go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly.  They aren’t just a memento, but more of a tool for the people visiting these exotic locales around the world.  Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to work with some awesome clients that put together some amazing trips, but one of my favorites is Trek Travel.

Trek Travel isn’t your average travel agency.  They’re not just packaging together airfare and hotels.  Instead, they put together incredible cycling trips to locations around the world.  Wanna do a tour through Chile on a bike?  How about Japan?  Maybe Scotland is more your speed.  Regardless, Trek Travel has you covered!

Trek Travel does a lot of work with us and that’s because our products are so versatile.  If they’re visiting a desert, they’re going to need sun protection, something they can use to keep dust or sand out of their lungs, and maybe, if it gets a little too hot, something they can soak in water and cool down.  Our custom bandanas can do ALL of those.  Or maybe they’re riding up a mountain and need something to add a little extra warmth.  That’s where our custom bandanas lined with fleece come in.  As I mentioned above these items are more tools than anything.  The fact that they serve as a memento for an amazing adventure after the fact is just a nice little bonus!

If you’re looking for the adventure of a lifetime you can check out their website here or you can find them on Facebook and Instagram by searching Trek Travel.

If you’re a travel agency or tour guide yourself looking for an item that keeps your clients safe and reminds them of what an amazing time they had years down the road give me a shout!  You can call me at 888-831-9344 extension 107, e-mail me at kody@hoorag.com, or fill out a form here

Potato Variety Management Institue (PVMI) Custom Bandanas

Hey guys – this is Chris writing again about another one of my favorite clients and their custom bandana design!

I worked with Jeanne on getting some awesome Potato Variety Management Institute (PVMI) custom bandanas done so she had some unique promotional items for some events that happened earlier this year. One of the events that she used them for was the Potato Expo that happened in Anaheim, CA in January 2022. I never really realized how many different varieties of potatoes there were prior to reaching out to them and that more varieties are being created all the time. They list almost 40 different varieties on their website!

Potato Variety Management Institute is a non-profit corporation that handles the licensing and royalty collection on Tri-State potato varieties and was commissioned in 2005 by the state potato commissions of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. They promote new varieties of potatoes which includes everything from the administration of licenses and royalty fees, promotion marketing, and creating opportunities for increased variety utilization and commercialization. They can be found at PVMI.org and you can check out this cool video that Jeanne is in to learn more: https://bit.ly/3xgQ0K6

Coral Restoration Foundation Custom Hoo-rags

It’s Tuesday, guys. That means it’s time for another featured client with your resident Bandana Master. This one is an oldie, but a goodie. I’ve been working with Coral Restoration Foundation on custom Hoo-rags almost since I started here.

Being based in Florida we treasure the ocean here at Hoo-rag. Whether that’s a day at the beach sunbathing or an afternoon out on the boat trying to snag a giant Snook, the ocean is just part of the lifestyle here. That is why preserving it is such a big issue. If you take the beach out of Florida, there’s not a whole lot left to visit unless you’re REALLY into theme parks.

That’s where Coral Restoration Foundation comes in. They’ve been actively working to preserve Florida’s coral reefs since 2007. That involves quite a bit from expensive studies to actually growing coral reefs and transporting them to areas where they can thrive. All of this costs money which, at least partially, is generated by selling Coral Restoration Foundation custom Hoo-rags and similar merchandise on their website.

If you want to learn more about Coral Restoration Foundation and what they do you can check out their website here. Have a look around their website and check out their Reef Saving Swag store to help preserve our beautiful oceans and get some awesome custom Hoo-rags too. Or consider donating your time and helping them out if that’s an option. They have an entire section about that on their page. They might even give you a free Hoo-rag for doing so!

Love the Coral Restoration Foundation custom Hoo-rag and want to get some of your own? You can hit me up at Kody@hoorag.com, give me a call at 1.888.831.9344 extension 107, or fill out a form here. We offer hefty discounts for 501-c-3s and we’ll make sure you get something you’re happy to give out to both your donors and volunteers.

SixSpeed’s Custom Bandanas

Hey guys – this is Chris writing again about another one of my favorite clients and their custom bandana design!

Ben from SixSpeed reached out to us regarding getting some awesome BF Goodrich custom bandanas done for a 9-day off-road racing and rock-climbing event called King of the Hammers in Johnson Valley, CA. With all the dust being kicked up and the brutal sun in the desert, it was important that people have something to cover their necks and faces to stay safe. SixSpeed needed their custom bandanas rushed out to the desert, and Hoo-rag was able to answer the call!

SixSpeed is an extensive marketing company that works with companies you may have heard of like Red Bull, Ford, Target, Michelin, and much more! To check out SixSpeed they can be found at SixSpeed.com, and check out their Instagram, Facebook, and Vimeo for some awesome pictures and videos of the events they and the companies they market for attend!

Custom Bandanas For Fox Factory

Kody here again with another featured client.  This week we’re looking at the rough, wild world of ATVs and automobiles with a little company by the name of Fox Factory.  We’ve been doing custom bandanas for Fox Factory for several years now, but they recently got in touch for another order.

Fox Factory is everywhere in this industry.  They make shocks for pretty much anything with wheels and even a few without. That includes cars, trucks, ATVs, snowmobiles, and even bikes.  They love our custom bandanas because their clients are outside getting dirty and making big ol’ dust clouds in the process.  That’s where our custom bandanas come in. They help keep the dust out of your lungs and the sun off your face during those long days of donuts and burnouts.

I know I’ve said it before, but it’s worth mentioning again. The best thing about custom bandanas is they’re not just promotional, but practical as well.  The Hoo-rag is not just another piece of plastic they put their name on.  It’s not one of half a dozen branded t-shirts that sit at the bottom of your drawer and never get worn. Attendees and employees tend to hold onto our customized bandanas and use them for anything from exercise to mowing the lawn on a Sunday afternoon.  This translates to more name recognition, more impressions, and more value for those valuable advertising dollars.

If you are interested in getting some custom bandanas (or any of our other products) for your own ATV or Motorcycle shop you can hit me up at Kody@hoorag.com, call me at 1.888.831.9344 ext 107, or fill out a form here.  I’ll make sure you get an awesome custom bandana that keeps both the sun and dust at bay while looking rad at the same time.

Dolphin Communication Project’s Custom Bandanas

Hey guys – this is Chris writing again about another one of my favorite clients and their custom bandana design!

Kathleen had reached out to us regarding getting some awesome Dolphin Communication Project (DCP) custom bandanas done for the 20-year anniversary of DCP. They used them in the field to keep themselves cool and to keep the sun off their faces while out in the sun in Florida, the Bahamas, and Honduras! Around the time they ordered the pandemic hit and our custom bandanas were also used in the field as facemasks for their team. We’ve since done a bunch more work with Dolphin Communication Project to make them more Original Hoo-Rags and some of our Half-Hoo headbands as well.

The Dolphin Communication Project conducts observational research on dolphin behavior and much more. They offer opportunities to engage in dolphin science with ecotours, volunteer experiences, online educational content and they also collaborate with other research projects with senior researchers at various universities and institutions. It is very cool that they’re fostering an appreciation for dolphins to increase conservation efforts and bring together individuals to expand their knowledge of dolphin science. They can be found on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and if you visit DolphinCommunicationProject.org you can even become apart of their Adopt-A-Dolphin program!

If you’re ever in need of some custom bandanas or headbands feel free to hit me up and I’ll make sure you’re taken care of.  I can be reached at Chris@hoorag.com or give a call at 888.831.9344 extension 109. You can also fill out our custom Hoo-Rags form at https://www.hoorag.com/custom-bandanas/.

Custom Bandanas and Non-Profits

Snowdrop's Custom Bandana

It’s that time again – your resident bandana master, Kody, is back with another one of our featured clients.  This time we’ll be taking a look at the Snowdrop Foundation and how they have used our products like custom bandanas to promote their non-profits.

We’ve been working with Snowdrop Foundation for almost 8 years now and it’s always great to hear from them.  They order custom bandanas from us almost every year.  They use them as giveaways for a variety of different events they host throughout the year as well as giving them out to the volunteers. The great thing about this particular product is it’s unique so it doesn’t end up at the bottom of a drawer with half a dozen others like it that never get worn. They serve a purpose so people tend to hold onto them and break them out when they’re exercising, doing yard work, or really anything else that works up a sweat.

They really do some AMAZING work at the Snowdrop Foundation too.  All of the money they raise goes towards scholarships for children surviving cancer.  As someone who watched a close friend’s daughter battle leukemia when she had barely started kindergarten, this hits me right in the feels.  Plus, giving back just feels good and if you get a custom bandana while doing it that’s just icing on the cake, right?

Feel free to check out their website at https://snowdropfoundation.org/. You can also find them on Instagram and Facebook by looking for Snowdrop Foundation.

If you’re interested in getting some custom bandanas for non-profits (or headbands), you can hit me up at Kody@hoorag.com, give me a call at 1.888.831.9344 extension 107, or fill out a form here.  We offer hefty discounts for 501-c-3s and we’ll make sure you get something you’re happy to give out to both your donors and volunteers.

Bradley Lindsley’s Custom Bandanas

Hey guys – this is Chris writing again about another of one of my favorite clients and their design!

Bradley Lindsey is a local musician who lives in Texas and has started to tour more around his local area. He is very talented! Bradley reached out to Hoo-rag to see what could be done about creating awesome custom bandanas so he had memorable merchandise to sell at his shows. He sent over the logo that he uses for his live shows and trusted our design team to produce something that he could show off to his fans. Our design team came up with something really cool that I’m excited to share with you!

While I’m not able to travel to Texas at the moment to see him, I hope someday to see Bradley perform. If you’d like to check out his music he can be found on Apple Music, Spotify, and even on iHeart!

If you’re ever in need of some custom bandanas feel free to hit me up and I’ll make sure you’re taken care of. I can be reached at Chris@hoorag.com or give a call at 888.831.9344 extension 109.

Custom Neck Gaiters For Running Events

Kody, your resident bandana master is here again with another one of our featured clients.  This time we’re going to be looking at one of our favorite running events in Marathon, Florida.

I’ve been working with Maggie who helps put on the 7 Mile Bridge Run here in Florida for several years now.  The event has been going on for 41 years now (Making it my elder and thus deserving my respect)  and is, as the name implies, a run across the 7 Mile Bridge that connects Marathon and Little Duck Key.  I’ve known some people who get uncomfortable going across normal bridges so I imagine this is nightmare fuel for some, but looking at the pictures it’s absolutely beautiful.

I can’t think of a better location for an event like this.  They ordered custom neck gaiters for their running event to use as finishing prizes and the design came out great!  It can be difficult to put together a design with different sponsor logos and still have a cohesive look, but Maggie and our designers did a great job.  Did I mention it’s for a great cause too?  Over the years they’ve donated over $500,000 to local schools and youth groups.

The event is only a few weeks away so if you want to get a free custom neck gaiter all you’ve got to do is sign up and run 7 miles across a beautiful, scenic bridge.  No problem, right?  If you’re interested you can find them on Facebook, Instagram, or even their website on Google by searching for Seven Mile Bridge Run.

If you’re interested in getting some custom neck gaiters or headbands for your own marathon or event you can hit me up at Kody@hoorag.com or call me at 1.888.831.9344 ext 107 or fill out a form here.  I’ll make sure you get an awesome custom neck gaiter for your running event. We’ll make sure that your makes your sponsors happy and something your runners will want to continue to wear anytime they’re out for a run.
