Over here at Hoo-rag we love working with people that are helping make the world a better place. That’s why we always get excited when we hear from Arizona Conservation Corps. AZCC has been getting our custom bandanas for a few years now. They use them as a promo item for volunteers and at different events. Arizona gets a LOT of sun so it makes sense!
Arizona Conservation Corps is in the conservation business. This translates to a lot of different projects throughout the year. Some of their past projects have focused on fuel reduction, desert restoration, tree planting, trail-building and maintenance, community service project, fencing, and non-native plant removal. All of those things take place outside which is where our custom bandanas come in to save the day. They allow them to keep working in that intense Arizona sun and preserve the state that they love and live in.
All of these projects require a lot of manpower to make happen. They have several different programs that people can join including indigenous programs, field crews, veterans fire corps, and more. These programs don’t just benefit the environment though. They’re teaching the participants a variety of skills that they’ll take with them when they leave. This can lead to new job and education opportunities that may not have otherwise been available. They really do a lot of amazing work.
